Grilled Sweet Potato Fries with Chili Cilantro Sour Cream


Grilled Sweet Potato Fries

This recipe was adapted from Southwestern Spiced Sweet Potato Fries by Food 52.
  • 2 large sweet potatoes, cut in large matchsticks/batons approx. ¼" x 2"
  • 2 tablespoons Pastamore Jalapeno Olive Oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 11/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chile powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked hot paprika
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon chipotle powder, or to taste
Chili-Cilantro Sour Cream
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 small garlic clove, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 heaping tablespoons chopped cilantro
  1. Pre-heat your grill to medium-hot
  2. Toss sweet potatoes in olive oil. Make sure everything is coated well so the spices stick.
  3. Combine, salt, cumin, chili powder, paprika, pepper and chipotle powder in a bowl.
  4. Toss sweet potatoes and spices together to coat.
  5. Arrange sweet potatoes on hot grill.
  6. Grill potatoes until done, turning when grill marks start to form on each side. About 20 minutes..
  7. Remove from grill and serve with Chili-Cilantro Sour Cream
Chili-Cilantro Sour Cream
  1. Combine all the ingredients except the cilantro in a medium bowl and whisk together. Stir in cilantro.
